    Gel coat cracks

Some of you may have seen my other thread "Highway Blowout." Well the blown tire basically destroyed the fender on my trailer, which popped up and hit the hull, cracking the gel coat. I have attached a picture, but it was very hard to get a good one. The cracking is just below the black streaks.

Do I need to get the cracks fixed before putting the boat in the water? Obviously I will fix at some point, but would like to go riding this weekend. Thanks for the help

Did you turn all this damage into your insurance company?

I would have that fixed through them, along with the trailer.

fix it before put to water

strongly recomand fix it before go to water or water print will expand to surround the cracked area after some days that can not be removed forever .

I did not. I cant believe it will cost more than my deductible. My trailer isnt exactly a thing of beauty
