2002 SN 196 speedo not displaying speed

The speedometer quit displaying a speed last weekend. It shows zero mph.

I do not think this is what people normally see when their teleflex guages fail. One minute it worked then it dropped to zero mph.

    Any ideas?

If I remember correctly, I think this year boat used pitot tubes, that hooked up to the gateway box, that converted analog pressure to a digital signal that went to the speedometer.
The gateway box in in the back of the boat, I think behind the gas tank.
Remove the hose from the top of the pitot tube, and blow air backwards to clear them.
Check the connections on the gateway box. Check the connections to the speedometer under the dash.

Check out the pitot static tubes in the back - they will be the white plastic wedges under the swim platform, see if they have been bumped up (they are on a hinge in case something hits it) or if the black tubing connected to it has come off.

I see the box. One of the lines is tee'd off with a yellow vacuum line that runs to the front of the boat. I'm not sure what that is for.

I would think that if one pitot tubes was bad the other would take over. Its like that box is bad possibly?

I messed around with it on the water yesterday. The Pitot tubes are forcing water into the box. But i'm not sure if the box is bad or if something is stuck inside of the tubes in the box.

Does anyone know what type of signals the box should be sending to the gauge? Is is a PWM signal or just a constant signal?

Also can you purchase just that box?
