Guys, Where is the best place in North Carolina to get a Prop Repaired? I have the original prop with the grooves and "N" on it. When it was bent it just slightly rolled the edges. I bent them back w/ a wrench and the boat would go but vibrated alittle. It hit the dirt a few years ago Unloading the boat from the trailer when the lake was really low.. I was told buy a guy at a machine shop that it could be put in a " Pitch Press" and straighten it out, has anyone ever heard of that? I would like to get it repaired without grinding the grooves and N off of it, Is that Possible?

To correctly repair it the grooves and "N" will likely be ground out. They have to balance the prop as part of the repair and that requires sanding off the faces of each blade. There might be some grooves left, but likely they will be all but gone.
I just had my prop repaired by ACME's repair service and was very pleased with the work. You will need to call ACME and they will give you an address to send it back to along with an RMA#. It took just over a week and $130 to make mine right again.

I have had great success with props of east tn. http://etnpropeller.com/ they have a lot of the acme blocks. I'd call them to see if they have that particular block to do the repair. They were reasonable and quick.2005 Ski Nautique 206 SE, Acme 422, PP SG 8.0, ND Tower
