I have seen where a few people have inquired about where the stock transducer on the 2002 SSN is, but I have not been able to find an answer. I am planning on trashing the Hummingbird/Teleflex unit currently in my boat (since I have a hard time believing that I have never been in water over 2.7 ft deep) and replacing it with an oil bath faria unit (any recommendations?). Since I dont want too much clutter need to pull the other transducer out, so any info on where to locate it would be much appreciated

I did the same last year - funny how parallel our projects have been. I loc'd my transducer very close to the original one which is near the PP paddle wheel. I left my old transducer in thinking I could do more damage than good when removing it. The new Faria has worked very well except I wish I could calibrate it for very shallow water. I'm used to it now and know it reads about a foot shy of actual, however, this makes sense since the transducer is probably a foot below the water line.1962 Classic

How have all of your projects been going? Most my major ones are done until the end of summer. Just putting in larger Vdrive ballast bags now, maybe a clock and move the stereo remote. THen have to figure up some more big ones for wintertime.Eric, Phoenix AZ

They are going/went well. The pump controller took a bit longer and a few rounds of troubleshooting, but as of last weekend, it is working well. Now it is time to use it and figure out the magic equation for creating a nice big powerful long surf wake. That will take some time.
The stereo/amps/speakers and driver side sub all worked out beautifully and sound very, very nice. The added batteries and automatic isolator/combiner and related rewire worked out very well.
I really like having 6 pumps, 4 permanent ballast zones and the two additional pumps with pigtails for interior bags. Dealing with that Tsunami really sucked.
Unfortunately, I'm traveling a lot for work and won't be at the lake until Labor Day weekend. Lots to play with then. I have to circle back and finish off some of the DIY threads I started. That is what winter is for I guess...1962 Classic
