Help a newbie Nautique owner of a 2001 Air Nautique

Hi, I just bought a used 2001 Air Nautique. It's my first inboard boat and I had it a couple weeks now.

My question: On the left side of my steering wheel, on the console, I have a factory keyless start. Below the blower switch, there are two arrow buttons (up and down arrows).... What the heck they for?

They are referenced in the manual, but it doesn't say what they are for. When pushed, I can hear a slight click from inside the dash. It sounds like a solenoid or some sort of relay, but I don't think anything is happening.

I'll try to add a pic from the manual.

    Thanks in advance

If you had a Super Air Nautique, or a Super Sport, those two buttons would open and close the rear hatch.
Rather than have a different switch panel for the different boats, they just used the same one panel on every model of boat.

      Thank you

Thanks for the answer... Has anyone modified or used these buttons for other accessories other than hatches?

Only instance I've heard of someone trying to utilize those buttons was Grant West's 02 AIR -- I believe he was installing an electric actuator on his rear compartment lid and wanted to utilize those buttons. I don't recall if he was successful in locating the leads to those buttons or not.

So on a '02 SS/SAN with the three part sundeck they would have no use correct?
