When you start into a turn pull back on the throttle and disingage as the boat starts to fall off start applying throttle enough to make your turn then re-engage the system as you starighten out. Driving the boat can be fun.

If you are just skiing for fun, try rpm mode. My 2006 will generally stay within 20 rpm and it re-connects better. Today I pulled my son at a fairly slow speed on his wake board and it never budged and it would grab just as soon as I throttled him up and I didn't get that big/sudden let off like on speed control.

I reset my PP last year and haven't been pleased with the speed control since. Tonight I found the manual and will try messing with a couple of the settings tomorrow. If I can remember, I'll let you know how it goes.

I actually hate mine too. Owned a Moomba and a Supra before this boat, never had and issue, and its my only complaint. Even in RPM mode it fluctuates 40-80RPM, which makes a difference for a good wakeboarder. I am going to try to follow the owners manual and re-sync it as well, but shouldn't have to do it.

were the boats you used w/ pp you liked throttle by wire? i never liked how the system worked once they made the change.

Their is not a god place to locate the paddle wheel on a 220, it only works well while driving in a straight line. The obvious fix is to upgrade to Star Gazer.
Or bump up to Zero Off! your 07 should be able to be easily upgradeable to ZO.

What is it exactly that you dont like about PP? I upgraded to the Stargazer edition and havent been overly impressed, although I have thought it was more my gf driving ability moreso than the PP. I had thought that she couldnt grasp the concept of easing the throttle on takoff instead of gunning it. I like to ride at 22 mph, and it takes about two minutes for the unit to adjust and keep the speed stable. anyone else have a problem like this (with either the gf or the pp?)

i've heard mixed reviews on stargazer. when i bought my boat i asked about it and the dealer told me it sucked, but i've heard actual owners say they like it.

                    Stargazer...Zero Off

                    My .02:
The question I asked myself -why has Nautique and most dealers gone from OG PP, skipped the Stargazer upgrade, and went to Zero Off?
In regards to GPS guided units, I have never even been in a boat with Stargazer...only Zero Off, which for the most part everyone loves.
