Power Loss 2009 211

I have a 2009 211 with around 35hrs. Having a problem with losing engine power after about 30 minutes of use pulling tubes. Shop came out replaced the fuel pump and filter on Thursday, and still had the problems all weekend.

It's like going 30mph, and nothing, then comes back. I can't figure out if it has to do with the EFI or what?

Any thoughts??

Are you losing electrical power, or does the engine just slow down?

I'm not losing power, but it's like the engine just quits, they get's going again.

Almost if someone dumps off the tube, you would pull back on power to turn around

CHeck the FCC for water in it. Not sure where it would be in the 211s, one my 02 PCM it is in the front of the engine on the starboard side. It is a black canister with a brass plug in the bottom. If there is water in the fuel that could cause these type problems. Water is heavier than fuel so after idle or calm riding the water settles. After churning the fuel in the tank pulling a tube the water has mixed with the fuel and the engine misfires.

Don't mean to hijack but I had similar problems. I drained the FCC and got 1/2 cup water and 1/2 cup gas. Is that a lot? Should I drain my gas tank to get everything out just in case? I only have 5 gallons or so in there now.

That is an awful lot of water. typically shouldnt have any

Had a problem with my 2006 211 engine shutting off and then coming back on. First they replaced the fuel pump thinking that was the issue. It ended up being the camshaft position sensor. Replaced it and I have not had a problem since.
