Purchasing a Bimini Top for 2002 Super Air Nautique
Purchasing a Bimini Top for 2002 Super Air Nautique
I Just upgraded from a 1992 Glastron i/o to a 2002 Super Air Nautique. Quite an upgrade! This boat has many of the things I've only dreamed of having until now. One thing it was lacking was a Binini Top. When I bought the boat, I told the dealer that I needed one and he said he could put one on it for about $500. When I came to pick up my new boat, THey had instaled a generic (westlands I think)binini that covered everything from the driver to the back seats and it was at eye level if you tried to stand in the boat. I didn't buy a boat with this much floor space to spend the day at lake crawling around on it. I'm blown away that they would even install it like that.
Any sugestions on a Binini that will fit with my tower at an acceptable highth? Maybe one that is made for this tower rather than something from Overtons?

We have one from TowerBiminis. It's pretty good quality, but it's a pain to put up and take down. I think it's more due to the FCT than the bimini itself. I'd much rather have a cargo rack-type top, but this one came with the boat and serves its purpose for now.
My towerbimini.com bim is now ten years old and still holding up well. I don't find it that difficult to take up and down. Sure it's a bit tougher than the bims on ski boats with no tower, but it's really no big deal, IMHO. BKH
I checked out TowerBinini.com. Waiting on a reply from them for a quote. Thanks for the Help. Being a New Nuatique Owner, I'm probably gonna have plenty more questions since the people on this forum seem to be way more "Nautique Savey" then my one and only local boat dealer.
I guess I'm in the minority. Personally I feel my TowerBimini is not tall enough and extends aft too much with my SSN/NDT making it difficult to stand without being hunched over. Additionally my front bow was a terrible fit as were two of my clamps.
I have the same tower on my boat and it had this bimini when I bought it. I would really like to get an over the tower bimini instead. I hate having to duck under it all the time, I'm 6'3.
Do they make an over the tower bimini for the FCT1 gen2? If anyone has one I'd love to see pictures and have a ballpark on price.
