    Vibration at take off

I've got an '08 220 TE with the 343hp engine. I noticed a new vibration yesterday while at the Brazos. About 75% of the time, on take off, I feel/hear a vibration through the steering wheel. Once underway, it feels normal. It still tracks straight even though the steering cable feels like it needs to be tightened. I checked the rudder and it seems to be secure.

    Any ideas?

    Thank you,
    Trace

It is more than likely the propeller.

    I experienced the same thing...

Sounds like you got a little ding in the prop.

Check the prop and in front of it for any weeds or rope wrapped around the shaft.
Weeds feel like this, and sometimes vibrate even when up to speed. A quick reverse will clean those out if you know you went through a patch.
If not, you probably bent your prop slightly.

I've been having a lot of problems with this as well lately. It's always hydrilla wrapped around the prop. I send my kids on a diving adventure and it fixes the problem every time.
