I am currently rebuilding the main stringers on my 85 Nautique and was wondering if anyone knows how far the two main stringers go past the motor box to the front of the boat. I am assuming they run all the way to the front, but I'm not sure. I hate to pull up the entire floor, if the stringers stop just in front of the motor box. Also, instead of replacing the stringers with more wood, which will eventually rot out again, I am planning to replace them with "Seacast". I've never used this before, but it looks like I can simply cut the tops of my stingers, remove the wood, and then poor in the "Seacast". Has anyone had any experience with alternative stinger replacements?

RE: Stringer System on 85 Model Nautique
If I am not mistaken, the stringers will run all the way to the front of the boat (to the point where te hull starts to curve into the bow). To make sure, either wait for someone else to chime in or go and look at www.the2001.com and see what they say. That site is dedicated to the 2001 series of Nautiques.
