i recently heard it is low in zinc these days. is this true and if so should i change?

no thanks. i just know rotella t is a highly used nautique oil and is what i have always used. if i should change to something better let me know, and please nobody tell me to use royal purple.

My personal choice is Valvoline VR-1 racing oil.
I also use Motorcraft FL1-A oil filters.

I am not a big fan of oils that use a purple dye as a sales gimmick. Purple is a color that belongs in gelcoat, not lubricants.
