Engine cylinder bores worn caused by thermostat sticking open and over fueling

    Hi
I understand that there is a PCM report giving precise details of the engine failure mode that my boat has suffered. The bulletin number is SUP 2004-03 (published in May 2004). It states that there is a problem with 5litre mpi Pro-ski and 5.7litre mpi excaliber engines fitted in all 2003-4 boats; the engine thermostat sticks open and consequently the engine management system believes the engine is still in cold run mode, injecting more fuel than required when the engine is hot. I would appreciate a copy of the report if avaliable.

    Regards
    Butch
