    Need help with vinyl stain

I have a stain on one of my white vinyl seats and i can't get it up with leather cleaner or even oxyclean. Does anyone have any suggestions? I don't know how the stain got there, but its either a berry stain or maybe even nail polish. Sorry if this is already posted but I didn't see any

Sorry to hear this SuperSquirt. Try a lot of sun if nothing else works.

I was met with the unpleasant surprise of numerous yellow stains (also raised a bit) coming from the inside of my bow nose cushion (which I just re-upholstered in the winter). I'm guessing that I'm going to have to replace both the vinyl and the cushion. Before I take the plunge on that, I'm going to see if the sun can work some magic.

I'm a proponent of lots of sun too. Someone decided to use a Sharpie marker to generate a tattoo on someone. Sure enough the tattoo transferred to my cushion. I tried everthing to get it off, without any real success. I sprayed it with Aerospace Protectant and after a day in the sun, it was gone???

People will say never to use a magic eraser on vinyl but this will probably get the mark off at the expense of potentially shortening the lifespan of your vinyl.

        Cleaner

After we bought our Nautique this year, I poured over the forums to find what product assortment to collect together. For vinyl I went with the 303 route. However, at the beginning of the year (March) there was some mysterious bug hatch, that when the bugs were smashed (sat on) produced a brown stain which turned to bright red, we ended up with 5-6 small stains. I tried everything, the only thing that worked was a little Magic Eraser and sun. This happened before I was able to get the 303 protectant on, which I think would have made the stain much easier to get off.

I suggest a mild vinyl cleaner, and sunlight. A Magic Eraser does not remove the stain. It removes the stained vinyl, Very fine sandpaper will do the same thing. I do not recommend using that, either.

            Fingernail Polish?

Seems like an odd place for that item - guess you'll have to start doing bag checks
like TSA at the airport - definately a banned substance.

Vinyl cleaner and 303 - plus sun as previously mentioned

Doubt nothing will work on polish but acetone (vinyl damage possibly at that point)

I just asked my dealer about my weird damage on my vinyl (and sent him some pictures), and he said that ," it looks like a chemical burn... acetone can do that..." So while I'm pretty confident that it is not acetone in my case, you have it from a dealer (the guy who actually does vinyl work for the dealer) saying that acetone will stain / burn your vinyl. I would not try it.

If it is nail polish, you might be out of luck and have to buy a new skin. I hope that is not the case, but nail polish is bad stuff when it comes to stains. It's one of the many reasons I hate it and do not allow it in my house.
