    Weird Temps w/FlushPro - Ideas?

July 1 installed new t-stat, runs consistantly 170 degrees.
August 21 installed FlushPro kit, now runs about 158 degrees.
If anything, I would have thought it might run a little hotter due to valves, etc. in FlushPro, not cooler!
    This is weird...any ideas why?

    What T-Stat Installed

If you installed a 160 degree t-stat I would think that it should run at 158-160. It may have just taken a few times to loosen up the new t stat. I don't think the installation of the Flushpro would make a difference unless when doing so you eliminated an air leak.

      T-stat

My brother installed t-stat & I didn't look at it closely. He thinks it was marked 140...old one has no markings. Pkg kit was in says "Replaces Pleasurecraft RP026002E & Crusader 97361". I bought it at a local marina. Guy looked up part in book so I believe it's the right one for my boat. Installation was simply cutting about 4" out of hose after strainer and clamping in FlushPro, so I doubt I "fixed" any air leaks. I didn't think a t-stat would need a "break-in" period, but then I never thought the gov't would own GM either! Thanks for your input.
