Navigation light on an 02 SAN

My navigation light has gone out and I can't figure out what is wrong. I replaced the bulb and that didnt fix it. I checked the fuse panel and that was ok. The stern light and interior lights all work and the buttons on the dash light up.

Any ideas? I think my next step is to replace the whole light. Has anyone replaced their navigation light with the new LED one that is used on the 2009? Same footprint? plug and play to the current wires?

Hmmm... That's weird. Have you pulled the assembly out to see if maybe a wire came loose from the unit?

If your set up is the same as mine (2002 SAN), then it is really easy to bump the wires lose, esp. if you have worked on anything in the front of the engine area (since it is right under the bulkhead area). I have actually disconnected mine and rewired my anchor light to the top of my tower.

To clarify, I'm talking about the bicolor navigation light on the bow.

Sorry, just realized I read it wrong

The problem ended up being a burned out bulb and an incorrect bulb used to replace it.

My navigation light uses a single contact point on the base and the replacement bulb that was put in had two contacts.

learned a new lesson on that one.
