Hey guys. I usually pump the engine oil out of our 2005 SANTE (EX 330) after a good ride.
This time around I needed to change the oil out of the water so I rigged up a hose connection on the inlet side of the strainer and shut the sea **** to stop the water going staright back out via the through hull fitting.
Engine ran up to temperature with a good flow out the exhaust and I got the oil nice and warmed up.
However, as well as the water coming out the exhaust I also noticed a very decent flow of water coming out where the prop shaft exits the hull under the V-Drive.
Can someone let me know how the water was being directed down thier as it has me guessing? Also if it is shaft lubrication why such a (relatively) large amount
Thanks
