Perfect Pass won't hold speed at 18MPH, but fine at 30MPH

I believe perfect pass works based on rpm at higher speeds and speedometer at lower speeds and was wondering if this had something to do with it.

Any ideas on what I might need to check or replace? I’m guessing paddle wheel (where can I find that on 2007 206). Am I correct in saying paddlewheel control both speedometer and PP at slow speeds?

you might just need to fine tune your settings. I have no problem holding speed except on those speeds where it is almost an plane. Just make some adjustments to the settings and it will slow the rate of correction and you should be set.

What mode are you running in? If I recall correctly, Digital Pro will run speeds down to 24.x mph in slalom mode. I don't know that there are slower speed options in that mode. In RPM mode, you can run it as low as it goes. If you want to run 18 mph on the pw, you need to be in trick or wakeboard mode.

Thanks both this is very helpful. I will experiment next time out; and also refresh myself by looking at the manual again. Will let you know how it goes.

We have a 2006 196 with PP and in trick mode at set at 15 MPH it holds within .2 MPH. It takes about 10 seconds for it to settle in at that speed after pulling the skier out of the water, but then it holds fine.
