    my 206 wont start

the red wire (with fuse in line) attached to the battery snapped at the connection to the black fuse holder. is this red wire attached to the starter.

I improvised and soldered on a new metal piece to the fuse holder and then crimped (not too sure how well this has connected but feels firm) the red wire back to the fuse holder.

the engine turns over but just does not fire, it sounds like when the toggle switch is not connected (but mine is)

does the fuse burn out therefore the engine wont start or could it be a bad re connection,or blown toggle switch, or fuel pump, this is very co incidental as it never happened before my red wire snapped, any thoughts
