    winterizing

2005 ex330 closed cooled. i have printed out the PN winterization list, but i have a question about draining the engine. is there any specific order for the plugs? Like water pump up, or opposite? what do i put on the plugs when reinstalling? when i change the fluids do i want to run the engine again or not at all? change plugs now or spring? any tips on changing the anti-freeze/water in the cooling system? do ya'll use any fogging stuff? my pela pump will be here monday, and i'm going to make the copper transmission piece. do you buy hose or just put copper in factory pela hose?

If you have closed cooling you do not drain the engine. You do need to drain the "open" or lake water portion of the system. With an 05 you may have the quick drain kit installed for the fresh water portion of the system, I did on mine with the ZR6. On a 196 next to the drain plug is a hose with a brass cap that allows you to drain the fresh water portion of the engine by taking off that one plug. You still need to drain the strainer and the hose to the transmission cooler.

Have you looked at the manual?

ya i've read it a few times. i just want to make sure i do all this correctly since a dealer usually does it. time to be self reliant.
