I have a 2002 GT40, 5.8 ford motor, it idles a bit low, meaning when I first crank it, I have to rev up the RPM.s a little to keep it from stalling. once its warm , it's OK, but still a little low, I would like to raise the idle about 300 RPM's, anyone know how to do this? (the TACH is broken)

Low idle
One of your sensors may be going bad. Do a search on this site for "idle" you sould get some interesting returns. First thing I would do is download the manual on the GT-40. You do not want to be changing the setting on the idle screw on the throttle body. You can trying cleaning the idle module sometimes carbon builds up on it. We also have an ACT and a ECT sensor and a MAP sensor that can all be going bad.
The dealer can check most of the sensors with a STAR tester. The downloaded manual will tell you how to use it. I found a STAR tester on ebay and it helped me out. I also have a breakout box that helps for checking individual sensors and circuits. Good luck and let us know what you figure out
