    engine misfires at low revs

year 2006 model 206 wirh 400 hrs, just changed 2 exhaust manifolds and plugs because had cracked manifold and water ingress into one side of engine 9water in oil)

Know I have engine misfire when I slow to low revs, but plenty of power and no overheat or oil press probs or start probs.

any thoughts, could this be still bit of water in cyliner and will dispappear eventually?? this never happened before I changed the manifold and plugs

    Misfire

Have you checked your spark plugs?

Had the same issue of misfire with mine, a GT40. one of the spark plugs had got a little ding on the way in, and the distance between the side and center electrode was to small.

when i got the distance back as it was supposed to be no issue.

i also had the cracked manifolds, (frost damage) luckily only on the outside, so no water in the engine, only on the outside.

check the small things first ;-)

      206 Misfiring

I have an '07 206 and I had a similar misfiring problem. The boat ran great at 35 MPH but around 25-30 MPH it misfired. I tried new spark plugs, wires, fuel filters then finally changed my distributor cap. That seemed to solve the problem. I have about 125 Hrs. on a 330 HP Excalibur. For $42 it may be worth a try.

          206 Misfiring

The distributor cap is on the top rearward end of the engine, just follow your sparkplug wires to the cap. I think there may be something sitting on top of it that is easily removed. The part # is 20205 at Discount Inboard Marine.
