I have installed a stargazer on my 99 that had perfect pass already. Its pretty much just pulling the old 'brain' out, plugging in the new one, putting the GPS on the dash, and swapping out the gauge.
Bottom line, unless it's a new install, do it yourself.
btw, perfect pass support is awesome, if you run into trouble give em a call!
super easy. follow the instructions. nothign to it. 1 hr tops. in no way shape or form is it worth paying a dealer 300+. and, by doing it yourself, youll understand it, so if anything goes wrong one day, youll have an idea of where to start.
like previous posts said. fairly easy to do if you can follow directions and splice into a couple wires. The hardest part will be fishing the wire from engine compartment up to the helm. But i wouldn't pay to have it done, especially since i don't believe you need to drill any holes (no paddlewheel necessary).

A couple of things to consider, you dont need a fish tape as you already have one! You will be unhooking your throttle cable from the ball and socket set up on the throttlebody, next free up the cable from any zip ties along the stringer, next pull up a loop right where the cable goes under the fllor and tape the servo power wire harness that will go forward to that loop, next where you disconected the socket from the end of the cable tape a 6' length of light rope or heavy string. now climb up under the dash and unfasten the kick panel and pull the throttle cable until the taped servo harness comes thru, untape and pull the rope back from the rear and you have the servo cable run. I can do this sequence in less than 10 min.
The other consideration is how well you adjust your throttle cable once the servo motor assy and control cable are assembled, If you have a older morse mv control you need to remember to push the throttle forward into detent before making adjustments at the throttlebody.
Unfortunately, in my case, when the previous owner had a new steering cable installed, the installer bundled it with the throttle cable somehow so I couldn't pull the throttle cable slack to use to pull the wiring through. When that option disappears, it's a bear fishing that wiring between the stringer and the cooler to the dash. As mentioned, the rest is easy.
