Can you hook a small section of hose up to Fake a Lake, place it in a bucket of anti-freeze, and run your boat to suck the anti-freeze through it?

It is easier and safer to just remove the hose from the intake end of the trans cooler, stick a piece of a garden hose on it, and put that into a buket of AF. On my SAN, I remove the hose from the output of the strainer, and put the hose in that hose. This is just for ease of access.the WakeSlayer

It is easier for air to be sucked past the Fake-a-lake connection to the hull, than water from a bucket. There is a really good chance that this would not draw the antifreeze into the engine, and it would also run the raw water pump impeller dry, causing it to be damaged.
My recommendation is to hook the hose up like Wakeslayer said to.
