Engine Cutting Out & Stopping '93

    Hi all,

I bought a 1993 a month or so ago and had it out last weekend. It was running great below 4000 rpm, ran it up to full throttle approx 4400 rpm. I could tell it was missing a little at 4400 rpm. Turned it off and sat for a little bit. Started backup and the engine just stopped at full throttle after about a minute of running. However it restarted no problem and ran fine below 3500 ish rpm.

    Any thoughts?

    Thank you Brian

    What motor?

First guess would be fuel filter, pumps.

If you have a Pro-Boss with the Pro-Tech ignition it could be a problem w/the Pro-Tech. When mine started to fail on our 93' it would miss and generally run bad at high RPM's & sometimes would not start when hot. If it is the Pro-Tech the conversion is about $500, that is unless you have the EFI.

Lot's of previous posts regarding Pro-Techs failing here and also on www.correctcraftfan.com.

      Good Luck
