    Dexron III (gone)

I use to use Valvoline Dexron III for my PCM 1.23 transmission. I was looking for more of the Valvoline and no one has it anymore. They have the Maxlife Dexron III, but everything has gone to Dexron VI. I read where the licensing for Dexron III licensing expired in 2006. I think I found some Castrol that will work. What has everyone been using recently?

I use a Dex/Merc formula from Valvoline, part number 353.
Change it every other oil change, and at the end of the season.

That's what I used/have. They don't carry it at my local Autozone/Advance/O'reilly/Pepboys anymore. They show it on their websites, but not in stock and can't be shipped.

Dex/Merc - states on the label that it is "backwards compatible"

Have had no issues so far

I think I'm going to use the Castrol Dex/Merc Domestic ATF. http://www.castrol.com/castrol/secti...tentId=7027043

I can find it at my local auto store.

That will be fine, even states in the link, "Meets DEXRON®–III H requirements"
