    Fresh water flush

Hi all, just picked up a '94 Ski Nautique, pcm pro boss 5.8
Would appreciate advice on where to connect a hose to run engine out of water to flush engine.
i noticed 4 small taps, 2 on block and 2 on manifolds, how are these used, I am assuming they are for flushing the system somehow.
    Gratefull for any help.
    Chgeers

Only missed one. It is on the bottom of the elbow, connected to the circulating water pump.
This is how I flush my engine:

      Thanks Daniel

Thanks Daniel, i'll go have a look and flush away.
It was wiered, we were skiing in a lake normally fresh but when the water dried on the screen, a salty residue was present......hence the need to flush.
      Thanks again

        soft floor section

I also wanted to ask about a small section of floor just in front of front seat adjacent to ski pole, right over where floor meets wall.
about the size of a shoe box, it's kinda spongy, a little flexible when pushing on it.
Does a '94 have wooden stringers or is it all glass.....if glass, what could cause this and do I need to worry ? Thanks all !

I believe your boat is all fiberglass. I am going to guess the floor was made the same way it was made on my 1997 Ski Nautique.
The stringers are fiberglass, and they are molded in at the level of the floor. Expanding foam is then poured in the cavities between the stringers, and the sides of the boat, and finished off more or less level with the top of the stringers. The whole floor is then covered with fiberglass.

If you were to drop something heavy on the floor, away from the stringer, it will slightly compress the foam, and fatigue the fiberglass. The floor then has a soft spot. To repair, pull up the carpet, and add new foam, finish it level, and add new fiberglass, and resin. Probably a winter project.

i have a tee in the intake before the strainer that runs to a perko fitting in the hull. just connect the hose turn it in then start. all water and pressure runs out the intake then when started the lift pump pulls it to the engine. i can run at about 1500rpm with out it sucking air and at idle the excess just goes out the pick-up. i just watch the pick up and rev it till it barely drips out the bottom to keep it from sucking air

              Thanks guys

Daniel, the small taps at the various points on the water circulating system, what are they for ? I have read about a "flush kit" available for these engines, is the flush kit a device which connects to all these points to ensure a ballanced pressure flush at all points ?
              Cheers

The five plugs are for draining the water in case of freezing.
The flush kit has an automatic water diverters, that plumbs into the raw water lines, but I have heard if them causing problems in some cases,
Another option is to get an extra clear plastic strainer bowl, and drill the bottom of it, and attach a garden hose fitting. It is easer to attach than my adapter, but costs more than a few pipe fittings down at the local home improvement store.
