    Hull protection anyone

I have a sv211 2006 and was wondering if anyone knows of some kind of film or other protection to prevent the gell coat from being worn away when driving onto the sand bank as at our ski club you have to moor on the sand bank I have had it repaired once & needs to be repaired again.
    thanks mark

I would spend the extra money on a Hamby's keel guard and have it professionally installed. I have one on my fishing boat (might be sold!!!!!) and pull it up on the concrete ramps every time i launch and load. It doesn't wear and it has been installed for 10 years. I installed one of the cheap ones and it came off one weekend.

I have a 2001 air nautique, with keel damage toward the bow (from the trailer bow roller). Boat repair place is recommending a Hamby. I have reservations, thinking that this may interfere with the wake in some way (plus it looks a little silly on a ski boat). Anyone have any experience with Hamby keel guard on a boat that is used primarily for skiing, with no plans to "beach" the boat (which is what the guard is really for). The cost of the guard and gel coat repair are roughly the same.
