I know we have a heater core at our shop we can sale. Give Tim a call at Inboard Solutions 334-301-2729 I'm not sure if he has any of the hose but be sure to ask him.
Check the DyI section. There is information about replacing with a car heater core for a fraction of the cost. I did it and was very happy with the money I saved
You are not really converting anything. You get the correct heater core, and it slips right in.
If you take your old heater core to a good radiator shop, there is a reasonable chance that someone there will be able to identify the vehicle it comes out of by sight. It is some model of Ford, I believe.
I just picked up a new hot tube. The cheapest place I found with shipping included was boaters world. Everywhere I looked was all around 45 bucks after shipping
I believe it is the same heater core as a 1996 era Ford F 150. I got mine at Auto Zone, they even matched it up. I remember it fitting almost exactly.

I got my core on sale for $20. I doubt it would be much more than $40. Like I said, try a seach and you will get all the answers you need regarding this subject. Its like magic!
I found this on wakeworld and it should be what you need:
"79-84 Ford Van with no AC, part number FM 9025. A heater core out of a '79 Ford LTD is also very close, but not exact."
I replaced with the LTD core and I had to make a very slight mod to the HeaterCraft box to get the inlet to fit. It was a very easy mod though. The hardest part will still be removing and reinstalling the box under the helm.
I wish I purchased two just to have a spare when the replacement core goes out.
Thanks. I saw this after the fact. I went to oreilys and the ltd was to wide (7.5x7.5). An 83-92 ford bronco is almost exact. Will try to fit in box later today. Thanks for your help.
