Wiring up heater & shower switches to 05 control pod (LE

Hey guys have just installed the majority of our heater & shower into the boat but have hit a snag... We would like to use the factory buttons on the control pod but it has only 4 wires in and out of it, so I am assuming two are power wires and the other two are control wires and rely on pulses to relay the required information...

Is there a control box that these can be wired into?

Any info would be real handy as it will save me heading out to our dealers again (2 hrs away) & the service dept charge like wounded bulls...

    Cheers once again

Ozzie, mounted in the kick board at the drivers feet is a breaker box (PME box) all options are wired to this box and the key pad is like a switch for this box. The wires for the heater will be behind the kick board, it will be a 4-pin plug with a black wire, red, orange, and yellow. Just wire your heater in matching the same color wires and you will be able to operate it from the key pad.

The shower wires are orange with a black tracer and a black wire. In a v-drive boat you will find this wire on the starboard side of the stringer, in between the engine legs. (in the bilge) on a direct drive boat you will find this wire on the port side of the stringer in between the engine legs. Wire your shower into these wires and your setup at the key pad.

If you are going to cut the plug off and hard wire just make sure you use a water tight heat shrink on your connections, water tight heat shrink should have an adhesive propery to it.

Good Luck and I hope this helps

and by the way, the shower connector , that is on the starboard side, has a mating connector on it, with a resistor across the two pins. That threw me off , as I thought it was a sensor at first.

As Frost said, the breaker box has all the wires, and the schematics on this site will guide you.

      good luck.
