I use simple white vinegar deuluted with water. Sparay it from a bottle and wipe it with a terry cloth. It will do a really solid job cleaning. What it will not do is pick up all the matting. You need to pressure wash if that is your objective. This works like a charm for me.

You can use many methods for cleaning your carpets such as vacuuming, washing the carpets with detergents or soap and shampoos. Bicarbonate soda can also be used for stains. But since carpets are of different textures and materials therefore, it is advisable to take the help of professionals. They know the correct chemicals and methods to be used according to the material of your carpet.

I steam and spot clean with 303 carpet cleaner. Let it dry out in the sun shine.

What strategies do people use to dry out after use? Seems like it takes so long to dry.

There are two drying times in my area:

                1. 2 hours
                2. 2 weeks

                Depending on the weather.

Seems like it is impossible to dry the carpet without putting it black side up in the sun. It just won't dry in the shade. Next season I think I basically have 2 choices. 1. Replace with seadek or 2. Unsnap carpet and try to get better air flow leaving it in the boat. Choice 3 would be to quit using the carpet altogether, which i don't want to do.

This came up because even thought it looked clean there was a slight mildew smell from the carpet. Anyone tried febreeze?

I would like to see Sea Deck available in the 200. I've always thought the pile CC uses is to thick. It's matts down too easily, and is difficult to kep looking new. I hate to say it, but one can keep the carept MC uses looking new forever.

                      +1

I believe that Sea Deck is the way of the future for boating. Our boats are being used for water sports, not luxury yachts, getting wet day in day out.
