Suggestions on Upgraded Alternator GT-40 (high output)

Currently Stock 55amp alternator; 2001 Super Air:

I was wondering what alternators would work in a GT-40 engine. I saw the GT-40 100 amp alternator ugrade on Whitelake Marine.
Is this the only alternator that would work or would a generic 100 amp alternator work the same? Or could I upgrade it to more?
Also, how many Amps would be recommended to use with Factory wiring. I was reading that anything over 100amps would be pushing the limits. Has anyone else experienced any problems?

    I have 4 amps (3 JL 300.4's and Audiobahn 700.1) peak power 1600rms, 3 batteries, Onboard charger.

I am looking for specific recommenations please. If you know where to get it that would be great, or are using an upgraded alternator, please advise

    Thanks,
    Fortnox

I use the factory alternator upgrade kit and for me it works perfect. I have all the pics in my photo album.
You can see what I run for my stereo in my stereo thread.

The real issue is the factory wiring must be upgraded to handle the extra amps, and the whitelake kit has a engineered harness that is a direct fit. No worries about sizing wires and guessing lengths its all done for you. Dont be cheap as you would hate to burn your nautique to the ground to save 100 bucks......
