    Pulling Engine: 08 210

Hey guys, when I pull the engine out of my 08 210 do I need to keep it connected to the vdrive and transmission? I'd prefer to just pull the engine but I'm not sure if that is possible given space constraints. Any idea? Thanks!

Why are you pulling the motor on an 08 model?

Based on the time of year, my guess is freeze damage. Bummer, if so.

I think you are going to have a **** of a time separating them in the boat. Probably easier to just pull the whole thing. I have not had to pull a V-drive, just DD's. You are going to have to do a complete shaft alignment no matter what.

Yeah, freeze damage. Sucks but gotta get it fixed asap and not looking to spend 6k.

Has anyone else had experience talking out an engine on a newer 210? I've heard the 08 and newer are more of a pain than other years.

Sorry to hear it. What is cracked? Any chance it is just exhaust, pump, or intake? Wouldn't have to pull the motor then.

            Pulling a motor

I can't help you on the newer boats, but on my 02, we split it at the transmission/v-drive. By doing this, we didn't have to worry much about alignment when we reinstalled it. I marked the rear motor mounts and left the front ones alone. We used a fork lift to get it high enough to pull it out and install it. Don't forget to remove the starter.
