    Shower Install - 2006 Air 216 Team

Living in the North, a shower is almost a must for anything before Jun 15th and after August......and of course my boat does not have one (2006 Air 216 Team Edition).

Anyone give me any advice on:
    1. Where to get the package
    2. How to install
    3. Costs
    4. Anyone done it to theirs
    5. Pics

    Etc, etc, etc

Question number one. What engine do you have?

Officially, in 2003 Correct Craft discontinued offering showers in their boats. They feel that having the engine running, with somebody on the swim platform is unsafe. The shower encourages this behavior.

I know that in 2003, the electrical wiring for the shower was still in the boats, the decision to discontinue the shower was made before the wiring harnesses were changed. You just had to find it in the bilge. I doubt if the wiring still exists in the 2006 models. Does the switch pad have an icon for the shower?

I am not sure if White Lake Marine sells shower kits. If they do, contact them.

The reason I asked about the engine is that the ZR-6 engine uses a closed cooling system, and you do not really have a source of hot water for the shower.

I just looked at the White Lake site, and searched for shower. No results.

          Try this:
          http://www.skidim.com/searchprods.asp

Enter "shower" in the search field.

Here is what I found......thanks for the link....it's a start.

            http://www.skidim.com/prodinfo.asp?number=101-S-C

Didn't find any install instructions or anything.....not sure how this would work on the boat.

            Has anyone tried it out?

              Shower Source

These guys provided the showers to CC until they quit installing them. I think that they will sell to you direct.
              Good Luck

Mine is an 05' and the shower button is on the keypad. Did order with the shower and they were still shown in the brochures as an option, believe mine was factory installed, if not then the dealer did it, either way it was well done and there when I took delivery of the boat. Pretty sure 05' was the last year they were offered.

Laker, do a search, I have posted pictures of my install on more then one occasion or PM me your email address and I can send what I have.

I am pretty sure on an 2005 boat, the dealer installed the shower.

Laker220, you need to PM Quinner, and pick his brain about the details.

The hoses will hook up to the engine the same, you can locate the pump in the same place.
If your keypad is the same as on Quinner's there is a real good possibility that the wiring for the shower pump is already installed, in the bilge where the pump is located.

Even if the wiring is not there, you could just put in an on/off switch, supply the switch with fused power, and ground the shower pump motor to the engine.
one caution on the engine. look for a bolt on the engine that does not have the grounds for the engines computer. Disturbing the computer grounds could possibly cause some issues with the engine.
