    Replacement Ball Valves

I have a 2002 SAN 210 and the ball valves that are connected to the raw water pump for engine cooling (1" threaded) and to the ballast system (3/4" threaded) are just about locked up. I tried CLR, not much difference.

I can't seem to find direct replacement valves that match up to the originals at any local stores (hardware, Home Depot, etc.). I need the valves to be like the originals due to the stainless control extension rod handles that get attached to them. Does anyone know who the original manufacturer of the valves was or where to get them?

    Any help would be appreciated.

Hmmm...I wonder how many people check to see if theirs can be turned. I recently took my lever off because the nut was gone. When I replace, I'll stroke the valve.

Did you try white lake? if not I might be able to find a source....just thinking it is going to be EXPENSIVE.

        Ball Valves

Here are the places I have checked:

        + Home Depot
        + True Value Hardware
        + Plumber's Supply House
        + Ace Hardware
        + Some Internet Resources
        + White Lake Marine

I can't seem to find the bronze valves that are identical anywhere. The biggest problem with trying to locate them on the Internet is that you can't see the size of the control shaft or the complete orientation of the valve stops that are cast in the valve housing. These details are important if you want to re-use your control rods without having to modify them.

So far I have not come up with anything. All the valves at most retail stores seem to be from the same manufacturer and have the same design which is differernt from the design we have in the boats. The only valves I have found that seem to be close are here: http://www.wakemakers.com/brass-ball-valve-3-4.html -- but I don't know for sure.

I'm not familiar with the valves themselves, but the google shopping search got me to grainger.

            1", NPT, Bronze.

            http://www.grainger.com/Grainger/APO...4&ci_sku=6KK51

            They have 3/4", too.

On the google page, I saw links to the same stuff at Amazon, too.

good idea.... I see the Correct Craft Dealer I bought my boat from (no longer in business) charged me $50 for a for a fuel filter which is on Nautiqueparts.com for 37.50.
