convert a pcm file into readable format

I just bought a ski nautique 196 from 2007. The previous owner delivered a file with it with the exention pcm. He said that the file contains the latest results of the last motor readout. I cannot open this file, as i do not have the program. I am wondering if someone could print out the information in this file.

Is it an audio file? That was my understanding of .pcm ... raw audio file.

The PCM file is uncompressed (raw) digital audio file. The file is a direct representation of the digital sample values (1s and 0s) of an audio recording.

Can be easily converted to .wav or something Windows can read

Why would the previous owner have engine diagnostics in audio format??

Maybe .pcm is just a custom file extension the program put on the file. Did you try opening it with something like Notepad? It could just be plain text.

That is a Diacom recording. You need Diacom to view and print. I can help if needed.

I do not have access to the diacom program. Can you download it?

If not, if i would send you the file by mail, could you print it and scan it in?
