    2004 SAN impeller type?

Does anyone know which impeller I need for my 2004 SAN? I was planning on ordering one but am not sure which is the right one. I have the Excalibur engine. Anything difficult about this installation? Anything else you recommend I replace while I'm doing this?

well the search function is great for starters, but i understand not wanting to go through all the posts. i have an 05 excalibur and it uses a serpentine impeller from nautiqueparts.com simple install. search "impeller", and find one of the many threads with airtool's pics of install and tools needed. oil change, v drive and trans fluids, fuel filter, plugs. depends on when these were last done, but...

What's the deal with not having continuity amongst engines, trannies, v drives? Seems odd to me that an 04 and 05 with same engine may or may not have the same belts or other...

I am no expert, but I think you will find that PCM changed to Serpentine belts in the 2005 model year. I can change the impellor in my 05 in about 5 minutes.
If you have a serp belted engine - 15mm spanner drops the serp belt, 10mm socket does the 3 bolts to remove the body of the water pump. Change the impellor & o-rings & put it back together.
