I need to remove the rear seat on my 2001 Air Nautique to cut some holes to run hoses for my custom ballast. There are 2 pins that seem to be holding it in (at the very back, just to the outside of the removable center cushion), but I can't for the life of me seem to figure out how to remove those. Can anyone help me out?

RE: Removing the rear seat on 01 Air
the pins just pull straight up. They can be a pain to get lined back up. Try removing the trunk floor, the engine box and the center floor section between the engine box and back seat first. See if you can get to where you need to witout removing that rear section. If not, pull the two pins out and remove the back seat.

RE: Removing the rear seat on 01 Air
It seems that I have pulled the pins up as far as they will go, but that's not very far due to the back cushion being in the way. What am I doing wrong?
I need to get the seat out because I need to cut some small holes in the sides to run hoses through. I'm going to run them from new pumps under that floor section to 540# lounges on either side of the engine box. There is space between the fuel tank and the seat for the hoses, I just need to get the hoses out from under the seat-hence, the holes. I can't cut those holes with the seat still in the boat.
