    loose cable with clip

Yesterday, when inspecting the boats motor (ZR6), i recently bought, i noticed a cable that has one end that is not connected to anything, but has a metal 'pin' at the end. Is this correct that it is not connected to anything?

I have included a picture of it.

looks like the oil drain hose. the clip keeps it from moving around.

The clip is only attached to the cable, not to anything else.

Yeah that looks like the oil drain hose to me too. That clip just attaches to something near the top of the engine under the engine cover to keep the hose out of the way. I don't have a ZR6 so I couldn't tell you the original clip location, but I don't think its that important. It just clips to a bracket or something solid that will keep the hose out of the way.

Definitely the oil drain hose. I've got a zip tie with a screw ring on it that I attach mine to.
