I have an 04 SANTE with the Faria gauges. I just got the boat out for a water test and am having issues with the depth sounder. The deep alarm is constantly going off, only to be silenced for a short period of time by pushing the up and down arrows simultaneously. I have tried to cancel this alarm with no success ( I have the manuals). The depth finder is also working incorrectly (reading deeper that actual depth). When in the depth mode and the M key is held down the gauges will not go into shallow, deep, or keel mode to change the settings. My guess is that the depth finder needs replaced or the gateway box (I am hoping its not the latter). Anybody have any advice on how to diagnose or a similar problem that could help me get this fixed?

Update... I ordered a replacement transducer from White Lake Marine. I tested it by filling up an empty trash can with water and floating the new transducer on top of the water with a peice of styrofoam. It became very apperant that the depth sounder transducer was not the issue when the depth was reading 20-30 ft in the trash can. This leaves the option that I was fearing.... the Gateway box. At the price tag of $656 dollars, I will be running without a depth sounder for a while! On a brighter note... when the depth finder plug is removed from the gateway box, I get no more beeping alarms

When I pulled mine at the gateway box, the deep alarm disabled. I am not quite sure why, I think it was most likely attributed to my gateway box being disfunctional. Mine was slightly different than yours (deep alarm vs. shallow alarm)... I guess these gateway boxes fail in different modes....

Had exactly the same problem on my 226. After replacing the gauge and transducer, I finally replaced the Gateway and the problem was fixed. Expensive fix, but after 50 hours of pushing the buttons to shut the thing up every 60 seconds, it was either that or leave it at the dock overnight with the plug in my pocket...
