2002 SAN Ballast Question

If I rip out the hard center/ski locker tank, how much extra room will I gain if I then put in a bag? The space looks small but how far forward does it go...same as older SAN's without the center tank? If I gain an extra 300 lbs, I may just cut the thing out...

I think you will gain alot if the center tank is about 400lbs? The ski locker on my 01 SAN basically goes all the way to the nose, although getting smaller with the shape of the hull. I had a custom sac made by measuring the exact dimensions of the ski locker. I cant remember the exact dimension but the bag is at least 7' long. I was using a 600lb sac in the ski locker before I had it made and had to run the integrated bow sac full on top of the seats in the bow to get on plane. With the new sac I run the integrated bow sac under the seats and it only fills about half way (guestimate) and its fine.

Anyone know the dimensions for the ski locker sac? Looks like 78" x 27" x 12" might be the verdict.

I lost the bubble on your question. Are you asking for the size of the ski locker itself (your initial question) or the size of the sac that will fit (second question)? I will go measure my empty 2002 SAN ski locker for you if that is what you want to know.

Yes, sorry, I misspoke in the second one. I want to know the dimensions of the ski locker without any tank in there. If you could measure your empty ski locker in the 2002, that would be a lifesaver.
