I'm trying to get my gauges working on my 1993 Ski Nautique with 351. I have another post about the t-stat.
Problem #1: I don't know which side of the engine is the sending unit and switch. I'm looking from the front of the engine towards the back of the boat for orientation. If I ground the one (sender/switch) on my left, the gauge does not move. If I ground the one on my right, the gauge does not move but the check engine light comes on. Is it the gauge, sending unit, switch or a combo?
Problem #2: My Oil gauge is always "pegged" when the boat is on. Should I replace the oil sender or oil switch or both. Can I check the gauge by grounding the sending unit.
Thanks,
Tim
