    Replacing the ECM in a 2000 GT40

I am looking at buying a 2000 Super Air Nautique. The boat had problems restarting once turned off. The dealer diagnosed that the ECM needed to be replaced. Has anyone had experience of this and does this indicate future problems with this boat?
    Thanks for any input.

The boat would start and run fine. I took it for a test drive and it rode fine. Upon turning off the ignition it would not want to re-start. They initially thought it was due to bad plugs - so replaced plugs and distributor cap. They took it out for another test ride and it did the same thing - runs fine but doesn't want to re-start. Took the boat to a Nautique dealer who hooked up to their computer and they diagnosed the problem as being the ECM.

      Thanks for looking.
