I've read many posts about cleaning the anti-siphon valve on the gas tank. I've seen the 90 elbow connected to the tank. Do you need to unscrew it and take it out to clean it?

Replaced mine last year after the boat started dying out of the hole. $11 for a new one and it runs like a top again. I didn't bother with cleaning it, but that sounds pretty economical, too.1998 Ski Nautique (Red/Silver Cloud), GT-40, Perfect Pass Stargazer 8.0z (Zbox), Acme #422, Tunable Rudder.

I cleaned mine out, but it didn't seem bad. I used thread sealant putting it back in, but only waited an hour for it to dry. I've read that there is no cure time on sealant for up to 1000 PSI. How long do you typically wait for it to cure/dry?Previous:
