Use fresh water flush as a fake-a-lake?

My 08210 has a fresh water flush on the back of the boat. Can I use that as a "Fake-a-Lake"?

I have one of those on my 01 210. Got hose pipe connection teed into it with a shut off valve in line.
Connect hose up open valve and away you go. Home made fake a lake.

That should be the way to go. Follow the line to the engine or input point and check the connections. Also, the older nautiques had a kind of pressure valve (I thought) at the 't' intersection.

        Yes

Short answer is yes... this is a built-in fake-a-lake. According to the manual the engine should be running while you flush... in fact it states that you need to shut off the water supply quickly after turning off the motor to avoid engine damage. The manual also states that you should run it long enough to get up to normal operating temperatures to ensure proper flushing. I've done this - works great.
