6.0 PCM closed system air in lines

How do I get air out of a closed system? I put all new heater hoses and a new engine and my heater only blows cold air I have not put boat in the water yet just put the hose to it?

I am not super familiar with closed cooling, but since the water from the hose is always cold, and just idling on the hose might not be circulating enough water to get warm water to the heater core.

Is your temp gauge coming up ? Technically if you have degas bottle the air will take care of its self.

Al. You installed a new engine? What year? Where did you hook the heater hoses too? Does the engine get up to normal operating temp?

When I drained/replaced my coolant this past winter, I ended up using one of these to force the coolant through the heater coil - and also through a hot water exchanger that I had added inline. I hooked up a clear hose to the one side so I could tell when no more air was inline. After hookup it took about 2 minutes to run all of the air out.
