Best Repair Shop in North Houston

Unfortunately, I finally hit a stump that actually did some damage. I ended up shearing the rudder off and was stranded in the river. I was able to get the wind to work with me and idle close enough to a launch and then able to push it to the dock. Terrible experience, but now I have to put an insurance claim and find a good shop to do the repair.

I hate bringing anything to get worked on, just seems ppl don't do a great job and service personnel lack integrity. I am very nervous about letting anyone touch my boat, but I have to.

So.....my question is for you guys to guide me to a reputable repair shop that I can trust.

Who do you guys recommend to do the work?

    Thanks for your comments

    Maxx

Call your dealer and ask who they use? They will know who is the best and who is not.

      Maxx,

      1. there is a glass guy in Katy. I've heard he does great work. The shop looks dirty to me. But you can see his work. I don't know if he does drive tackle.

      2. call Phil at Buxtons ...others will tell you it is worth the drive.

      3. PM shane (2gofaster?) - he works part time at Mueller's place in conroe. (the new CC dealer)

      4. I have a very technical DIY friend that lets Darrel Moore (sp?) do everything on his old MC.

Sorry to hear about your little oopsie. Don't feel bad, I did the exact same thing to my first Nautique in 96, 2 weeks after taking delivery. Knocked the rudder off and everything. Everything was back together in a few weeks and it was as good as new. Didn't require any gell coat work even, which surprised me considering it broke the rudder clean off and cloverleafed the prop.

Feel free to call Dockside Marine, your local Nautique dealer at 936.447.6162 and ask for Mike Richter, the service manager. Dockside just moved into a very nice, new facility, with a large service facility on Hwy 105 between Conroe and Montgomery.

I'm not sure I can help in any way ...but if I can please let me know by my email you have.

I can also offer a pull if you need one. We are picking up speed and will soon be out 3 to 4 times per week.

              Airtool,
Bro, really appreciate it. I think all should be smooth, should be a simple fix at the shop. My mom is having surgery in New Orleans as soon as i get back so I will rush to get the boat in the shop while I am gone with the hopes that it should be ready in a week.

We will have to get the boats out in your neck of the woods soon.

I'll let ya know how things turn out

By the way, how did your buddy work out on his purchase on his 211? I didnt hear back from him after we spoke.

              Mike

He ended up buying some kind of MC "X" thingy.

He got a great deal through a cousin that owns/operates a boat dealership. He couldn't pass it up. I haven't seen the boat but have an open invite (...especially if I provide the lake
