GT40 running poor

Hey Guys,
I put my boat on the water today, it started nice, run nice, very smooth with no problems. We took a break for about 30 min and then I tried to start it again and it started loud and then died and I did it few times and still didn't run fine then I couldn't to start it anymore, until my batteries died. I put full tank of regular at the gas station before the launch and then I add octane booster and injectors cleaner to tank after that happened and still couldn't get it to run. Any ideas?

For starters check your kill switch and make sure the wires are connected. Check the fuel water seperator. Your low pressure fuel pump is inside of there and there is black fuel line that is inside of there that Correct Craft should have performed a recall on but did not. It is connected to the pump and is about three inches long. I had is fail last year on my 96 GT 40. The line split and provided no fuel pressure to the engine. Spray some carb cleaner into the flame arrestor to see of it will run on that as a test first but I would check that line. Also replace the filter when you have it apart. Also there are two relays on the back of the engine just to the right of the computer. You can buy those at NAPA and the numbers will cross with their parts. Take one with you just in case. Let me know if any of this helps and if not I might have a couple other ideas for you.

I found the problem, it was easy fix but I had to spend some time to get to it. My distributor box was wet, go figure out why. So now it runs like a champ again - my 98 Super sport.
