OK either I am a dummy, or my tensioner has never worked correctly:
In loosening (counter clockwise) the bolt in the center of the idler tension pulley, nothing moves, the belt stays tight.
I end up having to take the bolt completely out and due to the tension the threads are getting stripped.
Are you supposed to turn the bolt clock wise?
Any thoughts as to what I am doing wrong or is the tensioner screwed up?
THANKS FOR ANYONE'S HELP, THE PCM MANUAL IS WORTHLESS!!!
Mike
