I have a 1996 SKI NAUTIQUE with the GT-40. I have the perfect pass pro. I am not getting a good rpm indication on the digital display for one. Second the servo is not maintaining tension on the nylon string. I did the servo test and it seems to be intermittent on its operation. I also have checked all of the connections and they all seem to be ok. I set 34.2 mph and it will only maintain 30 mph or so. If I run with it off and manually tighten the servo the boat will give me all she has to give. It worked fine at the end of last season.

I just had a similar problem. I would do a reset and it would temporarily fix the problem (to reset hold the on/off button and the menu button at start-up). This season the quick remedys stopped working all together. I did all the mechanical tests that were outlined on the website with acceptable results. I ended up sending my master module back to perfect pass. They said that it was a corrosion issue. They cleaned it up and sent it back. It works perfectly now. To make a long story short, might want to try cleaning the male connections on you master module. Save yourself the shipping charges to Nova Scotia, Canada.

I spoke with Gary at Perfect Pass today and he had me check a few things. I did discover I have low voltage to the unit. I was reading 9.4 volts so I am going to check the wiring. I did clean all of the connections off to no avail. I will pull the unit out and see what it looks like. It very well could be corrosion too! Thanks!!
