2002 sante - Center Water Ballast Guage Stuck on full

    Hi Guys,

My water guage for the center ballast in my 2002 sante is stuck on full. Any ideas or what i need to do to fix it.

    Thanks

Check the float on the sender first and see if it's stuck at the top. If not, then you'll have to check the sender to see if it's bad (most likely). You can rule that out by shorting the negative wire from the gauge on something that goes back to the negative battery terminal and see if it moves...since it's stuck on full, that may not work though, because shorting the gauge should sweep the needle from left to right.

If you can take the sender out and put it into one of the other tanks, then fill the tank and see if THAT gauge works, then you've isolated it to the gauge. If the gauge for the other tank pegs at full, it's the sender. Hope that makes sense.

By the way, if you need a new sender, this should be the one that fits. It's what I have on my rear tanks.

it's full when water starts spitting out the side and empty when it quits spitting out the side, i don't even look at my gauges, but if it bothers you sounds like the other guy's suggestion above to isolate the problem is your best route
